Parts are in and confirmed to be the correct ones needed, just have to find time to get them installed - I'll probably start a new thread for that and the factory under seat storage I found on Marketplace for a great deal. Picking that up tomorrow as my truck didn't come with that, I know there...
Parts are on the way for the next mod! Adding back the lighted cupholders, media bin light and the glovebox light - PLUS adding a light for the upper box as well. Again its the small things and touches that I like to retro fit to my trucks - 2023 is missing a lot of parts that 21/22 had and some...
Not saying it can't happen, but I'm less concerned about it maybe? Tons of vehicles on the road without side steps and probably have their fair share of dents and dings from that situation and many of them have none. The truck above had to have a windshield at about 800 miles from a strip of...
It wasn't really about the looks per se, more the fact that they drop lower than the stock ones and people are more inclined to use them when getting in/out vs sliding across the seats. Agreed on the possibility of rock chips etc, but I'm not in an area where that is an issue really. This one is...
Guys, I wanted to add that I've seen some writeups on these and in many of them they snake the wiring for the drivers side step under the crossmember and tie wrap it there - that was a no go for me as it looks terrible and is down where it could get hit or damaged. I'm happy to report that there...
LOL, I'm sure it's like every other max standard out there and the actual capacity is well over that. The brackets are very heavy duty and the mounting is the same as the factory ones so I'm sure they will hold up to most anybody - within reason!
This is true in some cases, my last truck was a Lariat with a lift and the Raptor tire and wheel combo on it and the power steps, never really had any rock issues, but then again my truck only gets offroad to check on the cows in a pasture.
Here is a video of them in action and a side shot to show how they tuck under. Video can be seen here: https://48forty-my.sharepoint.com/:v:/p/michael_fife/EZ4FCsDbU4FOhp93GTGmSw0Bw-FWSgHbBG6yeiSBFa_gdw?e=itDHT8
As the title says, this mod is pretty unpopular for Raptors based on their designed usage, but I never change a vehicle to suit every one else. So if like me you like having power side steps even on a Raptor, then here is a review and some install info for the Rough Country E Steps. I ordered...
Part numbers are correct, I got it from Tasca Parts - you may have to do a search b
Just those 2, part numbers are accurate, I ordered from Tasca Parts but you may find it cheaper somewhere else
I know its not like apple to apple comparison, but on the 18-20 trucks it wasn't on the screen and the popular mod was to add it so we could see it there. I get what you are saying about redundancy but it is funny to me that we always want what we don't have - I am the same as far as things...
Guys, over the weekend I added the Glare Free headlight coding and it is pretty amazing. You will retain your adaptive (bending)headlight effects but the transitions are much more smooth and the truck actually cuts the light only pointed at a pedestrian or on coming car - it leaves the brights...
Can you tell me what the display has that is different from the 2023 and the 2021? I'm thinking is there is a radical difference it can probably be programmed with the ASBuilt data from a 2021 truck. Not sure I would want to do that, I know there is an option to program and screen effect called...
That's where I bought mine from, and it worked like a charm. was a little dusty but no scratches etc at all wrong with it and it had no marks from the screws. So I assume it is a new part and was just not in the box
