@GooseTuned I’ll reach out in the near future to talk about what I’m looking to get out of this amazing machine. Taking to the dealer in another 1k miles for maintenance and a couple things I need checked out first.
Had my 21 Raptor since May of this year. I am not sure how I failed to spot this during the couple times the hood has been up but it appears I have a Roush CAI installed. It was a 1 owner truck, bout used as a CPO from Ford with only 10K miles.
1. Is it worth keeping installed? I’ve always...
I’ll get it done eventually. Need to take it in for the “rear break assist not available” message every time I put in reverse. Can’t remember if it was there when I got it certified pre-owned with 10.5 miles or not but I don’t like it.
I’ve managed to avoid the card readers at my office so far. Thanks for the feedback. That’s what I’ll do then. It’s a 21 model with 10K when I got it 2 months ago, so new enough to me that I wanna do it right.
Did you have the dealership replace or another body shop?
That’s what I’m going to do. I’ve seen on another similar thread that you can get Gen 2 flares for half the price of the dealership but after shipping it’s just as expensive. Have not found Gen 3 flares outside of parts.ford.com for less than $700+
Yeah, that’s what I was worried about. My neighbor is a supply chain manager for Classic Collision here in Atlanta and figured I’d see if I could get it 90% back to original without filing with insurance. Depending on the cost difference between that and paying cash at the dealership.
Lol! She’s my baby! Haven’t had it two months before this happened today. I’m okay with scratches but rather earn them off road somewhere vs my driveway!

This one’s totally one me. Was in a rush and well, this happened. Anyone experienced this and have any tips on best and cheapest way to fix? I feel like the flare can be sanded and painted. The scuffs on the body come off fairly easily.
