    Anyone notice.

Live valve or any other change in damping won’t alter static ride height. Damping force is zero when the shock isn’t moving so it’ll always settle to the same spot so long as spring rate, preload, and weight distribution remain the same. Parking on a hill impacts weight distribution. My driveway...

    2024 Raptor shock corrosion.

Corrosion is oxidization. What we are seeing here is pretty extreme though. anodized aluminum is significantly better in salt spray, but not impermeable. But you pretty much have to live right next to the ocean to hit that level of exposure that you *might* see some minor pitting over many...

    2024 Raptor shock corrosion.

This looks beyond just road salt to me. My aluminum sled trailer that gets blasted with salt and grit doesn’t even look that bad.

    2024 Raptor shock corrosion.

There’s no saving those. Ano has been eaten through. On anodized aluminum, accelerated corrosion like that is usually due to caustic chemicals or galvanic corrosion. Some car wash soaps are acidic and could do this if not diluted. I have a suspicion that galvanic corrosion is playing a roll...

    Gen3.5 specific forums?

Hey there’s the dual live valve shocks on some 24s too.

Iconic Silver Club Gen 3 Raptor

Stealth is nice on these. Works well with how metallic the paint is. Looks much better in person. Hate on ppf all you want. I didn’t do this for resale value haha.

    Fox Factory Race Series

There are two big questions in my mind regarding Fox aftermarket stuff and the gen 3. 1, do they do a single live valve and dual live valve version or just dual live valve and you have to buy a controlling if you have a single live valve truck? 2, will they accommodate the different travel...

Installed Gen 2 Fox Race Series Coilovers……FINALLY!

That will almost certainly throw a code. But hold on let me sell you shocks…

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

Anyone know what part numbers the new dual live valve shocks are? I looked up shocks for a 24 R VIN and got all sorts of stuff including ml3z18125bn/bl which are on my 35 so definitely not the right shock for that truck.

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

Or the current part numbers on paper for an already produced vehicle have fallen behind new production. Seems like a lot of part numbers exist for these shocks. I guess looking at a 24 on the lot would likely be the way to figure out which it is.

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

It’s interesting how everyone is getting different part numbers. Do the stickers on the backside of the reservoir match what’s written or are they the ml3v18w002/3?

    Rain Sensing wipers Don't

Anywhere between off and full time on is the auto range. The closer it gets to on full time the more sensitive it is.

Yeah that would be the part.

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

Another thing that I’ve noticed making noise over bumps… distinctly different from the suspension noise, but noticeably from the rear and audible from in the cab. Some of the plastic clips that hold it in place had worked themselves partially out. Pushed them back in and so far much better. This...

Is there a difference between left and right front shocks besides part number?

    Is Full PPF Worth it?

We got people on here talking about installing all sorts of random stuff that has no tangible benefit when your truck is a pavement princess and here we are in a ppf thread with people talking about how something isn’t worth it if your truck is a pavement princess. I’ve been debating doing full...

Battery issue, Charging issue or BMS issue?

One interesting data point… BCM got reprogrammed with presumably the most current version to fix a weird issue with the door locks. Haven’t noticed any low battery related behavior since then.

Raptor R shocks on 23 standard raptor.

You will be able to bolt them up and use them just fine and all, but you’ll lose an inch of travel.

Raptor R shocks on 23 standard raptor.

Do you have a 35” or 37” truck?

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

MSRP appears to be around $1k but there are ones around $650 from the random ford parts sites. I don’t know what’s real anymore though haha.

Clunking sound on Gen 3 too

Still hasn’t shipped yet. I feel like it’s going to be a shock for a regular f150, but part number should be part number.

    gen 3 bump stops

Good to know the bumper in the shock can take that!

    gen 3 bump stops

If RPG leaves it installed they would be the only ones I’ve heard of that do that. Wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing.

    gen 3 bump stops

Are you saying that orange bumper is left installed? I’m not talking about adding travel.
  25. taquitos

    gen 3 bump stops

Yeah I know they are for the previous generation. It’s just a 1” larger range that would be needed to cover both the 35 and 37 entirely.
