    Wiggle? or shake?

I did the deaver +3 springs on mine and had the shocks rebuilt and it definitely takes out about 80% of the unwanted axle movement. But to get 100% of it out, you need to add the trac bars (and SVC would be best because they are fixed point bars without a swing link on them). I’ve talked with a...

    Musy smell

I had a problem where the truck was building up moisture underneath the rear seats when it rained hard. Might want to check and see if there’s any moisture there as well. I haven’t been driving my truck a lot either and put a box of baking soda under the driver seat and that seemed to help a...

Is this what it feels like when the shocks need to be rebuilt? Bouncy/jarring at higher speeds

Depends on where you are located, but I know Forged Off-road does removal, rebuild, and replacement. I think Texas Shock Works does this as well. Rebuilds are about $800 for basic rebuild, and about $300-$400 for the removal/install if done by them.

Is this what it feels like when the shocks need to be rebuilt? Bouncy/jarring at higher speeds

My truck felt like that after I bought it as well. The OG owner had driven it pretty hard in its first 19k, and the truck just seemed to bounce off of road imperfections instead of soaking them up. The rear shocks being dead increased the problem the stock rear leafs cause with wheel hop. Once I...

    To upper arm or not

I have Eibachs and did Camburg UCA’s because of wanting more angle from the ball joints. Just so I don’t have the same issue boostcreep mentioned. Only thing is you have a little bit more maintenance with aftermarket UCA’s, but it’s not hard to do and worth it in my opinion.

    22 Raptor Trade

I agree. Private sell the lightning. The lightnings are bringing big markups even used. Raptors are harder to sell at a markup. So the know they make way more money selling the lightning than the Raptor. Straight trade not worth it to me.

    Tpms loses synch

I ran into this problem with my 2018 F150 I had before my Raptor when I swapped in some 2020 Raptor wheels on it. They switched sensors somewhere between 2018 and 2019. Different part numbers. Might want to look into that.

    Retrax Allignment Issue

I tried this as well moving them both in and out and nothing worked… glad you were able to get the pro locking mech. I wish I had pushed them enough to get that as well. But I ended up doing the pro swap mostly because the metal top doesn’t bounce as much. But glad it worked out for you!

    Retrax Allignment Issue

I don’t know why they can’t just make the non pro version with the double lock. It has half the parts on it to do so. That would solve the whole issue. Maybe see if they can send you the lock parts off of a pro version. Should bolt right on and fix the whole issue of the passenger side sliding...

    Retrax Allignment Issue

I had the same issue with mine. Retrax said the non pro version has that problem with our trucks and nothing will fix it. I ended up do a "warranty upgrade" to the pro version. It was $500, but it was worth it. Way more solid and locks on both sides, so it doesn’t retract on the passenger side...

Looking at buying a used raptor - tips advice?

Ask if he’s had the shocks rebuilt. My guess would be no, so know that you’re going to have to spend roughly $1k to get them rebuilt. Factor that into the price when negotiating. Check electrical things such as the sunroof operation as well. Mine had a bad track system and had to be replaced...

    Riding rough. Suspension question.

If the shocks were never replaced or rebuilt, I would look into that first. You probably won’t be able to find the fronts at a dealer as they’ll he last time I looked they were all sold out another country. Best bet is to get them rebuilt. This should be done anywhere between 15k and 50k miles...

Worth Upgrading between 2018 and 2019/20?

If you really want the live valve shocks, look at the SDI Eclick. You can add the live valves to the 17/18 Raptor with their kit. Going to be doing that myself soon. Cheaper then full coilovers, and will ride better than the stock 19/20 live valve because of the ecu logic they have built in...

You can also check out nadaguides. I know that carmax used them as a reference point when I sold them a car there a few years back.
