Noted. Unfortunately when I do move (probably in the next 12-18 months) my choices are to keep what I have and park on the street and be subject to street cleaning 4 days a week from 8-10am, or get something that fits in the damn garage. I haven't been able to park in a garage for 30 years so it...
No you won't. The bump plates are built into the blocks on the oem setup (pretty sure anyway) and when you remove that shit, you will need bump plates. They will roughly be the same distance away as the OEM plates.
The HD are a bit more robust for towing and hauling heavy gear in your bed - L84HD is 1 inch higher than stock, as is L84. L83HD and L83 are STOCK height.

No, I said +2HD or +3HD cuz I don't know what you carry around in your bed. From what you are describing, the +2HD seems to be the ticket for you. And Deavers > Icons.
The gen 3 wasn't/isn't enough to make me move from my Gen 2. It's really the same truck with updated rear suspension (best part of the gen 3 IMO) and newer interior (which personally IDGAF about). The Gen 1 was the first, always will be special IMO. But, the Gen 2 was all aluminum/composite body...
Well to those that say they know of no one who would buy a PB raptor... raises hand. I really believe that a PB raptor power plant could easily achieve 600HP, do a REAL 18mpg city and 24-26MPG highway, increase range to 860 miles or so between fill ups while not increasing the weight too much.
If Ford agrees to provide a new engine, I'm sure the dealer will be made culpable for some part of the cost, probably installation but I'm just spitballing here. Also, why bother tearing the old motor down if you are provided a new one?
