If the cab is off, I would be tempted to start right in front of the bed and go all the way to the front bumper. If the cab isn't off, I would at least do the inside of the frame rails in the engine bay. This is the best / potentially the only opportunity to do those.

Confirming that it took a whole lot o' force, but I got them together with a ratchet strap. The rear passenger side tailpipe was also a special treat that required getting out the angle grinder.

I will try that trick. I had pushed and tugged to the point where I was convinced that on the drivers side I was not going to get any more than a 1/4" of overlap.

What clamps are folks using to connect the HX muffler to the trombone? The stock ones don’t work great, but I can see that is what OP used. Using the stock clamps on mine, I can see an area where there is likely a slight leak on the drivers side.

This is beyond helpful. It seems like SPD has done what no one else can do. They have made the ecoboost sound good and not overly loud.

The only gaskets that should be involved are the 6 manifold gaskets where the manifold mates to the heads. Even those probably don’t need to be replaced unless your truck has 100k+ miles. Mine still looked brand new at 30k.

Has anyone tried to use the stock heat shields with the flowform manifolds and PowerMax turbos. I’m noticing on the drivers side, one of the heat shield bolts is making contact with the manifold. I am taking a hacksaw to the head of the head shield bolt and making it work. The passenger side...
